Can Anybody join Camp Fire?
Camp Fire is open to all youth ages 3-18. There are a variety of programs that can be tailored to meet the needs of the group, community or youth involved. Currently we run Teens in Actions groups, along with our Traditional Clubs, and Camp Zanika.
What does it take to be a leader?
Parents, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, if you are an adult interested in taking an active part of a child's life, then you can be a leader. Just a few hours of volunteer time each month can make a meaningfull difference in the lives of young boys and girls.
For everyone who wants to be a leader North Central Washington Council provides free training, a Leader's manual, a Newsletter, and support. Supplemental trainings and enrichment opportunities happen throughout the year also. All Leaders must pass a background check.
How big are Clubs?
Clubs vary in size from 4-8 kids around the same age. Camp Fire's goal is to encourage youth participation and foster the group experience.
How Often to Camp Fire Clubs meet?
That is up to the group. Some groups choose to meet once every two weeks, others meet on school half days. The group decides how often they meet depending on their schedules.
Are there any Camp Fire Mints available to buy?
Probably. If you give us a call or send us an email we can arrainge mint pick up. The proceeds of candy sold through our office goes directly to our Campership fund, which sends kids in need to camp.
